 Establish a Homework Routine:

1. Encourage your child to use their PSHS Student Agenda book for recording homework assignments. INSIST that it be completed and shown to you every night.

2. Establish a regular homework time and place. Select a quiet and well-lit place away from distractions, such as the telephone or television. Reserve a 1½ to 2 hour block of time that can be used ONLY for homework. If your child finishes before the time is up, he/she can read for the remaining time. By establishing a finishing time, students are much less likely to “forget” assignments or rush through them.
