Dear Parent/Guardian:
One of our goals at Plymouth South High School is to increase both college awareness and college readiness levels of our students.  As a result, for the past few years, we have been administering the PSAT for all students in grades 10 and 11 plus the SAT for 12th grade, during the school day at Plymouth South.  We will again this year administer the grade 9 PSAT for our freshmen for the 2016-2017 school year.  This exam will take place on Friday, October 28th during the school day.
The exam is designed to help our students improve their skills and prepare them for the official PSAT and SAT exams in future years.  The test is free of charge and the skills measured also align with the Common Core standards.  A few key highlights are
·         Students will get to practice test taking skills.
·         Students will have a better understanding of how to take the SAT exam.
·         Students will be better prepared for the SAT exam.

Please do not hesitate to contact me or your child’s guidance counselor.  Your child’s results will be mailed home when they are received.  Thank you again.
Sincerely,

Marc A. Loranger
